The Casanova Killer

Paul John Knowles had run-ins with authority from a young age. Starting with the truant officers in schools then police officers soon after. He became a ward of the state when his parents decided he was too much. From there the downward spiral began. He quickly went from group homes, orphanages and then landing himself in a boys home. Once he turned 18, he was left on the streets. Not knowing what to do with himself or how to support himself legally, he did the only thing he could think of. Stealing. After multiple stints in, Paul found himself in love, but it wouldn't last and in the wake of reality a killing spree began. One that lasted less than six months, but cost the lives of dozens that are known. Upon his final take down, media minted him the Casanova Killer for his looks. His looks that killed.

The Edmund Fitzgerald

November 10th 1975, a storm swept across Lake Superior. By the end of the night, one ship was at the bottom of the lake. She didn't call out in distress and the ship 10 miles behind lost radar of it in seconds. The one ship that set multiple records in the preceding years was gone along with the 29 men aboard. Growing around the lakes, the story has become legend and all those know about the loss of the Edmund Fitzgerald.

The Atrocity that is Martin Dumollard

Martin was unfortunate enough to be born from an exiled father. He grew up as an only child after the death of his younger brother. But that wasn't easy either. After the empire invaded their homeland, the family fled only to be caught as they sought refuge. His father was killed and Martin witnessed the entire affair. His mother became catatonic, by four he learned how to find enough food to survive. As an adult he stayed away from people as best he could, but life was hard. After injuries he found his niche taking care of livestock. But a woman found him intriguing. Pushing them into courtship, then marriage. She wanted to sit at home living a comfortable life. But Martin couldn't provide....until he started stealing from women. This led to attacks and murders. For years he went after women, selling their jewelry and clothes. As the bodies stockpiled, so did their clothes. The items would help lead to the couples undoing. He was tried and convicted for the crimes that could be proven. In the end, he was led to the guillotine ending his reign of terror.

The I-70 Killer

In the spring of 1992, six people were murdered. All of them in shops next to the I-70 highway. Five of the six were women. All brunettes with slender build. They were killed execution style in the back of the shops with a small caliber bullet. The media released the information that the gun was the linking element and the killer went silent. Years later a string of killings occurred along another stretch of highway in the South. But still nothing. In 2021 a joint task force was created to solve these murders. Even still, the case remains open.

The Man who Created the Body Farm

Dr. Bill Bass was a leading anthropologist that found his love for the science after helping identify a woman who had been burned, buried, then exhumed exposing a leaking casket. As time went on his big mistake in time of death lead to the burning question. How to determine time of death. What can we learn from decomposition. Too much Doubt to be Just Reasonable- Cedric Marks

Cedric Marks is condemned to die, affirmed by the state of Texas. His crime that he was convicted of: the double murder of Jenna Scott and Michael Swearingen. 
The prosecution posited that he had the means and opportunity to commit the crime. 
But what about the possibility that he may not have done it. It wouldn't be the first time Texas railroaded the wrong man, going so far as to complete an execution.
Exculpatory Evidence that should've been highlighted:
the injuries of the victims 
the lack of marks on Cedric at arrest 
 Jenna's phone being on after Cedric's arrest 
 the dogs not hitting on the house the pair were murdered in supposedly 
 the fact that his DNA was excluded in all areas tested by police but an unknown male was identified

Houska Castle

Built in the 13th Century, this castle is built for unknown reasons. It was built with defenses facing in. The windows were fake and there wasn't even a kitchen or water resources. Many locals believed that it was built to keep demons rising from the depth of hell. That the chapel within the walls was placed directly over a pit in which creatures and demons had come out and plagued the local area. After Nazi's occupied the area, more rumors swirled that paranormal investigation was their purpose within the walls. Nowadays the castle is owned by a family and is open for tours and paranormal investigations are welcome. At your own risk.

"They Had to Die"- Inmate Episode

If you believed your child was in danger, that they were subjected to grooming. What would you do? Confront the person, talk it over, beat them, or kill them. Harley decided that his two best friends needed to die after his 4 year old daughter talked about how Paul treated her. Daniel's offense was simply being there and losing it when Paul is shot.

The Boston Marathon Bombers

Some days live in infamy, April 15th, 2013 is one that will live on in the minds of many. Particularly those in Boston Massachusetts. The day that two brothers started 101 hour reign of terror on the Boston and surrounding area. It began with two pressure cooker bombs set off at a historic marathon. Then the callous murder of a police officer, a kidnapping and carjacking, and a shoot-out with police. The elder brother, Tamerlan was killed following the shoot-out, but younger brother Jahaar managed to hide out for hours and hours. 
Still this may not have been Tamerlans first episode of unprovoked violence. Years prior, it is suspected that he completed a triple homicide, killing long-time friend Brendan, roommate Erik and neighbor Raj.  Suspected but never proven. The why's in both cases may never be answered.

The Cases of Rowan and Georges

A two for one:
The first case is of Rowan Baxter, New Zealand born. Moved to Australia after a short professional life in Rugby. In Australia he established himself as a gym owner, father, and husband. But life isn't as wonderful as it should seem. His wife and kids left him and he does not like not being in control. He finds his ex and ends her life, their children, then in the ultimate act of cowardess he kills himself.
The second case of Georges-Alexandre Sarret was the original acid bath killer. He first starts using a set of sisters in an insurance scam getting the life insurance from older, unhealthy men. But when a partner attempts to increase his cut, Georges takes his life and that of the mans fiance. Still he isn't caught until one of the sisters fakes her death. She skips town but can't resist coming back with her new man. When she returns, she is spotted and immediately tells the police everything about her scam and what Georges was in to. Georges is found guilty of the deaths and ultimately is the last person to be executed via guillotine.
